Introduction:

My name is Kelly McDermott I knew from the age of five that I wanted to become a nurse when my grandpa brought my grandma to my mother in the middle of the night; he knew something was wrong but he didn't know what. My mother knew right away she was having a stroke and got her the proper medical care. In my mind she was a hero and I wanted to be just like her.
