Work Environment Communication Issue

Communication in workplace is crucial to production of each employee. There are numerous distinct types of communication. There is customary talking, nonverbal, and touch. Have we gone too far in agency or boardroom? When can touching be appropriate? The subject of touching is nearly taboo! No one likes to converse about it. In our attitude, it desires to be approached. If you touch someone at work it can be misunderstood, and all too often it is. (Adhikarya 1996)

However, there are numerous modes you can touch and it is not misunderstood. For demonstration, there is handshake. When you rendezvous someone, as the pattern of welcome, you are inclined to agitate their hand, as well as when saying good-bye. From this arise even distinct types of handshake counting on span of touching. For demonstration, there is simple handshake, handshake with other hand engaged somewhere on arm of hand you are agitating, and handshake with other hand covering agitate, all of which have distinct meanings and grades of intensity. (Byers 1996)

Then there is congratulatory hug. This happens when the co-worker has carried out certain thing and the hug may be in order. This is generally the feminine inclination since the co-ed hug glimpsed without interpretation could show romance and two men hugging is out of commonplace and could furthermore be misconstrued. Support touches usually occur when it is the one-on-one setting, mostly like in counselling, family, or place of adoration perhaps when the individual is having the hard time. Playful touches tend to occur when air is more relaxed. A lightweight hit on arm or the shoulder catch, perhaps. The register proceeds on and on. These touches are all permissible in work place. (Fraser 1994)

Decision Making

In corporate environment critical decisions must be made, sometimes quickly, whether because of changes in market conditions, corporate profits, or corporate performances. The decision-making process is vital to good management in today's work environment. This paper will examine relationship between critical thinking and decision making process, explain what textbook authors believe, and relate how both apply to today's workplace.

Critical thinking involves ability to weigh evidence, examine arguments, and construct rational bases for generally accepted beliefs. In order to establish the theoretical basis for studying critical thinking, the great quantity of research has been done. Critical thinking is not only ability to reason and construct arguments, but also ability to examine reasoning processes involved and being able to evaluate their appropriateness and effectiveness. This "judgment" aspect is what makes critical thinking more than just problem solving. It is not sufficient to be able to apply problem-solving strategies to the particular problem; the true critical thinker must be able to choose appropriate strategies and even create new ones when necessary.
