ABC Electronics is committed to compliance with all applicable environmental, health and safety laws and to protection of our employees and the environment. In order to maintain compliance and continuously improve our performance, the following policy will guide our environmental, health and safety initiatives and actions.

ABC Electronics is committed to:

Operating our facilities around the world in a manner that protects our employees, public health and the environment;

Complying with all applicable laws and regulations at every location where we operate and applying our own more stringent standards and policies wherever necessary to protect our employees and the environment;

Seeking to continuously improve our environmental and safety performance;

Designing our products and processes in a manner that minimizes risks from the manufacture, use and disposal of our products;

Reducing or eliminating the presence of lead and other hazardous materials from our products in accordance with legal requirements and customer demands;

Seeking to conserve energy, water and raw materials and to reduce waste and emissions;

Being a good neighbor in the communities where we operate.

We will meet these commitments by:

Establishing environmental and safety goals and regularly measuring our performance against those goals; Making operations leaders and staff responsible for environmental and safety compliance and performance;

Providing managers, supervisors and employees with the education and training they need to understand their environmental and safety responsibilities; and

Communicating openly with our employees, neighbors, governments and other interested parties regarding environmental and safety issues.

Tyco Electronics' EHS Program

In order to continuously improve our performance, ABC Electronics maintains a global environment, health and safety program that includes the following elements:

EHS Goals: ABC Electronics establishes and regularly reviews with senior management and with operations staff our environment and safety goals -- as well as our progress toward achieving those goals.

Compliance: ABC Electronics is committed to compliance with all applicable laws and regulations at every location where we operate. We regularly engage external experts to conduct audits of our locations to review our compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and with ABC Electronics' own standards.

Staffing: ABC Electronics has an experienced corporate staff dedicated to addressing EHS issues. We also

employ EHS staff in ABC Electronics' business units and at manufacturing plants and other locations.

Resources: ABC Electronics' EHS personnel provide resources to our sites in the form of program guidance and

templates, training, web-based resources, best practices, legal and regulatory guidance and other materials and information.

Training: ABC Electronics provides training to managers, line employees and others as required to meet regulatory requirements and improve our EHS performance.

Measurement and Accountability: ABC Electronics regularly monitors and reviews with senior management and with operations staff various measures of our EHS performance. ABC Electronics holds operations and business leaders accountable for EHS performance.
