Essay on the Information Technology Infrastructure Library

Introduction

ITIL, the Information Technology Infrastructure Library, developed in 1980s by the British government is the most extensively recognized approach to IT service management in the world. It offers a no-nonsense, useful and realistic framework for recognizing, planning, delivering and enduring IT services to the business.

Discussion

The Information Technology Infrastructure Library, ITIL is a worldwide recognized collection of best practices for IT service management. And this will help me make sure that my ITIL program is both logically balanced and focused, so I don't need to bite off too much at the beginning. When devising my project roadmap, I will keep in mind that ITIL processes have several interdependencies. This may demand functioning on different procedures in parallel.

Write Down a SIP:

To make sure that the ITIL subproject is proceeding efficiently, I will begin by including a SIP i.e. service improvement plan, defining the methods that I have to execute through the initiation, scheduling, ...
