Thesis Statement

“Ethical leadership plays an important role in dealing with ethical issues faced by human service organization.”

Introduction

People involve in human service practices take on the duty of evaluation and management of risk of client, security and self-sufficiency. These people include nurses, staff, human service case managers, social workers and so on. The consumers or clients are those avail the services of human service, mental health, child welfare, criminal justice. Human service organizations are may be institutions, or communities. Workers come across complicated situations in which the correct way of doing any work is ambiguous. In addition to, it the workers most of the time are not well-trained, and they do not have regular support in those fields. Ethical dilemmas are caused by conflict in roles and responsibilities of human service functions. It is significant for workers to comprehend and to respond to ethical and legal conflicts that arise with any client, family or practitioners (Hardina D. et al, 2006).

The significance of dealing with ethical conflicts has become clear with the amount of court cases, which have occurred as an outcome of slackness, errors, faux pass on the part of social workers and human service providers (Woodside M., Tricia M., 2011).

The management of everything depends on the leadership. The leadership makes the actual difference to the work that is carried out in a firm and to the excellence of services that are rendered (Lawler J., Bilson A., 2010).

Discussion

Social work is not very simple to carry out. It is fairly difficult field of work done in a highly politicized and unstable atmosphere. The human service work is very open to political analysis; therefore, it is believed that social work managers and leadership needs a variety of tools and approaches, especially those that are devised for complex and contracted areas. It is also believed that, for social work management, a leadership approach is also important that can deal with all the ethical issues that a human service provider comes across (Lawler J., Bilson A., 2010).
