Whereas high standards are considered to be very significant in acquiring public confidence and trust and, such level of trust can only be maintained if the public is certain that the profession can standardize itself and authority those members who defy or disregard the Code.

The IT professionals are mostly responsible to keep a track of confidential knowledge and data about individuals as well as the companies' systems and who allowed them the access to their information. This authority can be mistreated by the IT professionals either intentionally or intentionally or intentionally. Organizations and associations for IT specialists are introduced in order to deal with the ethical side of the profession, even though it is not required for IT security to associate with those organizations.
