Introduction

Guantanamo Province is located on the coast of south-eastern part of the Cuban state. The area of the province is more than six thousand square kilometers and a population at last census more than half a million people.

Surrounded by steep mountains on the perimeter, the Gulf "is" almost completely isolated from the rest of the island's existence. Moreover, on the shores of this beautiful bay located U.S. air and naval base, this is a serious irritant for the local population.
