Event Management



Background

To cherish the achievements and contributions of sports, a special, one day event is to be held in East London. The aim of the event is to celebrate the achievements of the sportsmen and promote sports as a whole. The impact of sports on a society is positively undisputable. With the emergence of new technologies in the past decade, we have seen a declining level of participation and interest in sports by the new generation. The spirit of sports has to be revived and in order to achieve this target, an event has been organized with the elite sportsmen and women participating to promote sports in society.

It has been decided that the venue for this event will be the prestigious Theatre Royal Stratford East. The venue has been selected due to its proximity with the sports complex which will be a subject for drawing attention of the audience to. The elegant setup of the facility will be a key factor in the event and large capacity of the theatre will cater to a large number of people. The beautiful facility comprises of three levels in which the audience may be seated. The audience will be seated according to a preset plan. The contributors of the sport and the guest celebrities will occupy the main ground floor. The first and second floors will be for the guests. Special arrangements shall be made in order to ensure the safety of the guests.

Host

The host and presenter for the event will be Tim Henman, a veteran tennis player with great contributions to the British sport. Mr. Henman will be hosting the entire event with guest contributions by Michael Owen and David Beckham, representing football. Tim Henman is the only celebrity to be under contract with the firm for his services as a host. All other celebrities are invitees, attending as a goodwill gesture for the promotion of sports and Olympics. In addition, along with Tim Henman, Andy Murray will also be speaking and advocating the magnificent sport of Lawn Tennis. Alec Stewart, the legendary wicketkeeper and batsman will also be among the list and will be speaking on the gentlemen's game of cricket. Ian Botham and Nasser Hussein have not yet confirmed their presence. It is imperative to mention that the event will also feature an interactive session in which guests from the audience will put their questions and suggestions forward. Their questions will be answered by the esteemed celebrities. The event will end in a special ceremony that will be signified by a pledge by all the sportsmen and women present in order to work for the promotion of sports in society.

Progression

The event will feature several video presentations on sports and will highlight all the contributions by the British sportsmen. The progression of the event will be based on categories of sports.
