Anne Bradstreet is amongst few of the most important personalities in history of American Literature. She was acknowledged as the first female writer whose book was published in United States. Her work in some way is evident of the hardships and dilemma of women living in the New England colonial rule. Bradstreet work serves as a document of struggles of women against adversity and sufferings. Anne Bradstreet is an exemplary figure and her affection for children is extraordinary. She lived a life of a struggler due to her continuous battle from illness and because of the difficult revolution against colonials. Anne chooses to write about the Puritan ideology. Her work reflects the indifferent attitude towards material wealth, her spiritual believes regardless of any religious barrier, which signifies her dignity and wisdom. Her work style is very simple, although it highlights the intelligence and the immense faith. It is consider to be difficult for a women to express her ideas in 17th century, yet her knowledge and vocabulary along with her firm logics made her work acknowledged by the people of that era (Koloski, 2009).
