Fluidised Bed Heat Transfer Unit

The fluidized beds have been tested successfully and following is my opinion about the transfer unit. Graph of number of downloads is also given below.

Good fluidization of irregularly shaped particles (e.g. fibers, flakes, needles)

Fluidization of particles having a broad size distribution

Fluidized bed of particles with 30 to 50% less air

Better uniformity of fluidization

Fluidization of fragile particles

Advantages over drying belt

Rate of heat transfer and mass

much higher

Drying time and reduced size of about 50%

Better quality of dried product

More uniform drying
