Abstract

The underlying discussion presents a research proposal for a prospective study. It has been argued that football which used to play and watch with distinctive passion has lost its amateur values on account of commercialization of sports. Rather than source of entertainment, it has become as multibillion business world. This research proposal has presented a brief review of literature which will be extended further in main document. Moreover, the proposal has suggested both qualitative (secondary sources) and quantitative (primary sources) research methodologies for the collection of data. Initially review of literature will be done which will serve two functions. Firstly, it will facilitate the development of understanding over the subject. Secondly it will help to formulate an appropriate questionnaire which will be distributed among the targeted sample populations. On the basis of this data analysis, a meaningful conclusion will be presented on the issue.

Modern football is not just a sport anymore. It's not even a game which is perceptive as mere fun for all ages. In contemporary times, soccer has emerged as a big business. For millions of people, it is a major source of earnings; in fact, sole source of earnings out of which they live. Now days, football players are not the only one who earn big, but also the bookmakers, club presidents, trainers, and still ordinary fans. The presence of increasingly diverse currencies in the club treasury seems to be very essential, for the reason that it is required to make investment to augment the team performance and consequently, good team performance result in higher profitability. There was a time when people used to fancy this sport from their hearts. In contrast, in today's world, millions are spent for buying expensive players and coaches for the club as well as building beautiful stadiums and training bases.

In modern times, football constitutes an important sector within the vast entertainment industry. Even though, people are not often interested to view their favorite football players in their private sphere of life, media is often succeed to make a sensational scandal out of nothing making millions of profits.
