Introduction

I, being the fund manager will analyze the chosen company that is listed at the fortune 500 companies list and will evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) and then will conclude the final decisions to whether invest in the company or not. It solely depends on the results of the conducted SWOT analysis and the company structure that is the internal and external stakeholders who are associated with it. The chosen company is McDonalds.

It is been 45 years, the Fortune Magazine is ranking as the largest companies in the United States. The concept of the Fortune 500 was created by Edgar P. Smith, a Fortune Editor. It is their publications that conduct the surveys and research and lists the top 500 companies of United States according to different parameters. These scales include listing the companies on the basis of the revenues, profits and losses, number of employees etc. The list includes publicly and privately-held companies for which revenues are publicly available. McDonald's Corporation is the world's largest chain of hamburger fast food restaurants, serving around 68 million customers daily in 119 countries. The headquarters of the company are located in the United States. The company was established in 1940 as a barbecue restaurant that was operated by the eponymous Richard and Maurice McDonald. Their chance meeting with their milk, Ray Kroc, things changed in 1955 which suggests that they developed their concept of McDonald's restaurants into franchises before buying the company a few years later.
