The purpose of this one honors course in Information Technology Management for Business (ITMB) is to ensure students gain both technical knowledge and necessary business and interpersonal skills needed to jump start a career in IT management: to meet future business needs and effectively prepare students for successful careers. This exciting and dynamic industry, but more and more employers are seeking graduates with broader skills such as understanding the business, leadership, project management and communication skills. Nationwide survey of more than 74,000 employers show that gaps in technical and professional skills of graduates of information technology negatively affecting the productivity and competitiveness of British companies. UK graduates, on average, an additional two years of training in laboratory conditions to achieve the level of ability expected by their employers.

ITMB Single Honours course aims to significantly reduce this burden by including in the academic degree. It is endorsed by E-skills UK Sector Skills Council for IT and telecommunications, and was conceived, developed in partnership with, and with the support of E-Skills Employer Strategy Forum: A group of leading employers of IT managers, such as British Airways, BT, Computer Associates, Ford UK, Fujitsu, Hewlett Packard and IBM. From the outset, students are exposed to these employers in the form of biweekly Guru Lectures, where experts from leading employers to take time out from their daily work in live lectures to students via the Internet.

In the next five years I would like to further my education. Ihave habitually liked to become a teacher. Iwould like to be that individual that a scholar can contemplate on. In five years I should be a certified teacher in my own classroom. Iwant to arrange scholars for their functions in humanity by double-checking that they can communicate competently, believe critically, and solve difficultys. Iwould like to elaborate my knowledge as a educator and discover thriving teaching procedures in an effort to assist my scholars with meaningful learned growth.
