Gardner's Theory

Frames of Mind: The Theory of Mutiple Intelligences written in 1983 by Howard Gardener introduced seven types of intelligence to which he add three more in 1999 .(Gardner, 1999).

They are as follows:

Linguistic intelligence : Learn and use both spoken and written language including grammar, recollection and use of language to express oneself.

Musical intelligence: Perform, compose, appreciate, sense, recognize, and compose music.

Logical-mathematical intelligence: Calculate accurately, reason and analyze problems e.g engineers, scientists, economists, etc.

Spatial intelligence: Recognize, use, and manipulate patterns in small and large spaces. e.g Artists, architects, sculptors etc.
