Introduction

Epic of Gilgamesh has been of interest to Christians since it opened in mid-nineteenth century in the ruins of the great library in Nineveh, in view of the great flood with significant parallels to the flood in Noah's day. More Epic, which dates back to the possibility of the third millennium BC, contains little significance for Christians, because it is a typical polytheistic myths associated with the pagan peoples of that time. However, some Christians have studied the ideas of creation and the afterlife presented in Epic(Langdon, 2003 ). Even secular scholars have recognized the parallels between the Babylonian, Phoenician and Hebrew accounts, although not all are ready to identify compounds, as something more than common mythology. There have been numerous flood stories identified from the ancient sources scattered around the world. Stories that were found on cuneiform tablets, which include some of the earliest surviving writing, have obvious similarities. (Frymer, 2006), cuneiform writing was invented by the Sumerians and Akkadians were on. Babylonian and Assyrian dialects of Akkadian, two, and both contain the flood account. While there are differences between the original and the later Sumerian Babylonian and Assyrian flood accounts, many of the striking resemblance is close to the account of Genesis flood. Babylonian account is the most intact, and only 7 of 205 lines available. In addition, it was found first, which makes it the most studied earlier accounts of flooding. (Frymer, 2006) History
