Project Strategy

Project strategies should be based on the period of the project and the time period after which the goals should be achieved. Once this is set, the planning phase can begin in which the project manager determines the time period for each activity so that there may be a link between each individual activity and the progress towards the achievement of the goal. It should also focus on cost saving methods based on the cost-benefit analysis carried out. This means that every stage of the project should be planned keeping into consideration the steps to be followed in order to achieve the projects goals (Henson, 2012).

In the project of implementing an IT system of teaching in a school, the priority is to first test the system before implementing it. In this case, only a few students will be made to use the new teaching system in the beginning in order to measure any changes in performance. Only when positive results are shown should the system be implemented. This also ensures that less funds are wasted if the project is not a success.

Designing a strategy is a complex task since it encompassed various factors that need to be kept into consideration. Apart from this, since external financing is needed, every consideration should be considered in detail to avoid a situation in which the donor agency faces a loss due to the misuse of funds because of a poorly planned project.

Budget

The budget is one of the most important features to consider and manage during the implementation of a project strategy. In order to utilize a budget efficiently, it is necessary to plan its usage so that the financer may be satisfied with the usage of the funds. Along with planning the budget, it should also be implemented in a progressive manner by which the level of investment is varies based on the phase of the project and its capital requirement (Henson, 2012).

It is essential to prepare a budget that's reasonable and does not require excess funding that would scare the donor. In order to secure financing, it is important to provide figures that seem realistic compared to the project plan. Inflated figures will lead to a reduction in trust between the organization and the donor thus the funding would not take place.
