Nursing

Health Sciences is the discipline that provides the knowledge to prevent disease and promote health and well being of the individual and the community. It involves a number of different disciplines (applied sciences) that target or engage in the health of humans and animals.

Investigations of this science based on pure science of Biology, Chemistry and Physics but also in social sciences such as medical sociology, psychology. Other areas that, have made a significant contribution to the exceptional and Health Sciences are Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Engineering, Epidemiology, Genetics, Nursing, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical, medicine, etc (O'Brien, 2011).

Nursing care is the health of human beings. It also receives the name the profession, based on that science devoted primarily to diagnosis and treatment of health problems or potential. Nurse's unique approach focuses on the study of the response of the individual or group to a real health problem or potential, from another perspective, in addition or substitution of the, need of every human being to take care of itself from views bio-psychosocial and holistic.

The aspect, which attracted me most towards health sciences, was nursing. I believe that providing care to patients and looking after them is very noble and my goal is getting the health of the patient to achieve self-satisfaction, promoting and preserving the patient's ability to their self-care. It is the system of nursing practice, in the sense that it provides the mechanism by which the nurse uses the opinions, knowledge and skills to diagnose and treats the customer response to actual or potential health.
