Description of Social Policy

Healthy public policies are the cornerstone of development of the system and health services. In 2000, alternative methods were developed and expanded existing ones in order to improve the delivery of essential public health and to extend social protection. The idea of socialization of health care was the fact that the UK is capable of during the war years to implement virtually full employment and spend huge money to army in peacetime it is to send such a social solidarity and financial resources for the welfare of the citizens. Yet after the development of legal basis for reforming the health care system the Ministry of Health of the United Kingdom was faced with an unanticipated problem - doctors not only failed to support innovation, but also provided an organized resistance. Aneurin Bevan, staying at that time as Minister of Health, was to perform the laborious task - to lure medical staff on his side, because without the support of the health care plan would be doomed (Dunn, 2000, 12-22).

Until that time, millions of citizens of the United Kingdom could not afford private medical services mainly to institutions and in fact, had no medical care. To date, every Briton has access to quality health services, which is financed through progressive taxation, that is, everyone pays according to their capabilities and how the patient receives the necessary services, respectively. It is interesting that even now the Labour Party of Great Britain however, considers the creation of NHS its most remarkable achievement.

Thus, the British NHS has become the world's first national organization that provides free, universal health care. In modern conditions, the work time-tested system is still successful, but its stability, many analysts worrying. Globalization and the increased cost of medicine have led to serious structural problems, particularly the need to wait even some serious interventions. In the European scientific periodicals are increasing reports of reduced standards of care in some hospitals in the United Kingdom.

The asylum seekers have the right to free medical care in the NHS - National Health Service (NHS). NHS provides treatment and prevention of diseases (including dental care and other specialized doctors, eye exams, and counselling services in clinical family and marriage) (Walsh, 2008, pp. 23-26).
