Introduction

Health care organization dedicates to provide health care services and products. These also include health care equipment, services, life sciences and pharmaceuticals. Health care services vary from country to country, but in US, it commonly associated with human health activities, dental practice activities as well as medical activities. The health care organization on which I am doing research is the National Institute of Mental Health. National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) concerned with the research on brain, mind and behavior in order to order to deal with mental illness. From the past years, there has been an immense increase in mental disorders in US, which has led to disability issues. Obsessive compulsive disorder, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, are the main causes of this disability. For reducing the health disparities, different approaches have set up which associates to focus on the following: The NIMH strategic plan also includes the recognition and importance of increasing minority group member participation in clinical trials.

Discussion

NIMH is focusing on innovation, so it is making strategies by introducing new technologies and creating innovative models. Neuroimaging tools used in order to track the brain activity and understanding its development. There are also strategies made so as to minimize the risk associated with it. NIMH is developing this strategic plan is to advance its research by increasing the capacity to predict the causes of the disease. The major goal of this strategic plan is to increase the impact of research on public health and the issues of mental illnesses, which are increasing across the lifespan. Along with the strategic plan the, healthcare, legislative bill that analyzed in this research is that of Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act that passed by the House of Representatives (Kasprow, 2007).

Economic Impact

If the bill is enacted, as it is meant to be then it will create prevention of health at the state and national level while promoting health for guiding the federal investment in prevention and public health (web.mhanet.com).

The environmental factors are also a major source of risk associated with these genes. They also enhance the risk varying from toxic substances and resulting to social and family circumstances.
