HEALTH INFORMATICS

Health Informatics

Introduction

The notion of health informatics or information processes is present in all areas of medicine and public health. Their ordering depends on clarity of functioning of the industry as a whole and the effectiveness of management.

Information processing in medicine considers health informatics. Currently, health informatics is recognized as an independent branch of science that has the subject, the object of study and ranking among other medical disciplines. On the other hand, the methodology of health informatics is based on the general methodology of computer science.  Statement of the Issue to be Investigated

All processes in nature are accompanied by signals. In the interaction of signals from the physical bodies in the past may experience some changes in the properties of a phenomenon called the registration of signals. Registered signals from the data are closer to the everyday practice. The data is derived from direct observation of the process or phenomenon of numbers, characters; words that are recorded in documents and transmitted by communication are handled by computers, regardless of their content.

Processes of generating and transformation of information is called the information process. In the broadest sense of the area of scientific and technical activities, to study the structure and general properties of information as well as the processes involved in the study of its receipt, transmission, processing, storage, distribution, presentation and use of information technology and technology in all spheres of public life is called science.  Research Sources

This study adopted an approach where health informatics is seen as a scientific discipline of applied computer science topics. Health informatics or medical informatics (MI) is the methodical discipline involved in the study of procedures of receipt, transmission, processing, storage, distribution, reporting the use of information technology and technology in medicine and healthcare. Health informatics is applied medical and technical sciences, which is the result of cross-interaction between medicine and computer science. Information technology is mostly computerized methods of production, storage, and transfer and use information. Although, strictly speaking, the concept of information technology is broader than computer technology, as applied to modern health informatics are virtually identical. The subject of study of health informatics at the same time will be the informational processes associated with biomedical, clinical and preventive issues. Total computer hardware reviews, and computer software; the principles of creating computer systems are common to all applications of informatics. The object of study of MI is information technology, implemented in health care. (Akrich 2002)

Proper health informatics examines medical applications of information technology; the use of standard, universal means of informatics solutions for medical problems and special health care information technology and systems. Brief historical background of Informatics was inculcated into medicine with a few relatively independent branches. The main ones were: laboratory and groups involved in medical cybernetics, manufacturers of medical devices, medical information, and computer centers (MOH, regions and cities, major scientific and medical institutions); party organizations involved in the automation of management, heads of medical institutions, decided on their own to introduce new technology. At the root of the national health informatics were ...
