Introduction

Hedda Gabler is a play written by Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen in 1980. The play revolves around the character of Hedda Gabler. Hedda Gabler is a tragedy, and as a whole, it falls into the type two major categories of tragedy genre of English literature. These categories are classical/epic tragedy and modern/domestic tragedy.
