Introduction

Henry Clarke Corbin was born in Monroe near the town of Laurel farm in Ohio. From there, he entered the infantry as lieutenant on June 28, 1862 in United States Volunteers. On September 23, 1865, he received promotion as a colonel. After that, he led the United States colored troops units. From the year 1989 to 1904, Henry Clarke Corbin serviced as Adjutant General in the US Army.
