For years humankind has fought to comprehend why Harry Truman made the selection to kill thousands of civilians to save American soldiers. General Dwight Eisenhower thought it was incorrect. Many alleged the War was previously won, so why was it needed to kill so many? My own sensitivity is that being the first to use it, we had agreed to a moral standard common to the barbarians of the dark ages.
