Abstract

The paper discusses the history and origin of prisons, the emergence of the prison took place with a solitary confinement in the treatment of delinquency. Public executions were held in places more and more discreet to be withdrawn completely from the sight of the crowd. The prison was then the ambition to change offenders to adapt to normal life in society. The idea was that the strong effect, give an adequate form to offenders who have "pushed through".
