History of Middle East

Middle East is the region, which includes the Arabian Peninsula, Mesopotamia and Palestine. These territories are occupied today by Saudi Arabia, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq, among other states. In turn, historically, these regions are closely related to the valley of the Nile (now occupied by Egypt), the peninsula of Anatolia (now Turkey) and the Zagros Mountains (now Iran).
