Introduction

How I love thee? Let me enumerate the ways is one of the most well renowned love verses in the English language. Because it is so famous, many readers mistakenly attributed the poem to sonnet master, William Shakespeare. However, How I love you? Was written a years after Shakespeare in detail, is only a little over 150 years. Prominent Victorian bard Elizabeth Barrett Browning first released the poem in 1850. He asked how she loves her lover and tries to enumerate the different ways that she loves him.
