How religion (Islam) guided me to the right path in my life

I am grateful to Allah (SWT) that he gave me the best of way of life to follow and that I am amongst the best of nations. Islam welcomes us all no matter what our race, culture or creed and this is the beauty of Islam. Islam has taught me to respect the young and old, man and woman, parent and teacher, where we are all equals. For me the door of Islam is always open when all others are closed. We know that Islam is referred to as Deen - a complete way of life, and not just a religion. So to me, Islam ain't just about praying, fasting and so on…its also about our moral conduct, the education we seek, our worldly actions etc. Islam plays a huge part in my life or so I like to think it does

In the final book of divine revelation, the Qur'an, Allah states the following:

'This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.' (5:3)" (Akyol: 45)

"....As for Prophet Jesus (PBUH), like the prophets before him, he called the people to surrender their will to the will of Allah; (which is Islam) and he warned them to stay away from the false Allah of human imagination."

Islam, like many other religions, teaches right from wrong. It has shaped my character in teaching me to always care for others, go the extra mile to help someone in need, and to always remember that I represent the millions of Muslims in the world. My core beliefs on life have been instilled by my religion and by the personal experiences that have tested my faith. As years have pass and human life has evolves, religion will always remain a sacred part of who we are and how we view society.

So from them we learned the true meaning of Islam. How it is a religion of sharing, giving, forgiving, loving, caring...it is a religion that encourages ...
