Problem Statement

Manager refers to any executive who has the responsibility for managing the overall revenue and costs of business. This means that a manager usually cares for all functions of marketing and sales of financial and human resources of a company, as well as the operations of everyday. Often, the manager is also responsible for leading and coordinating the functions of strategic planning of the company. It is necessary to conceptualize the term manager. HR manager's role cannot be diluted or performed by line manager or other departmental heads due to lack of evidence and research on the subject as well as a gap between the HRM rhetoric and reality with regards to soft and hard models.

Research Questions

The research will be based on following research question:

Does every manager in organization works for achievement of organization goals and success?

Can a line manager effectively perform the HR function?

Is it fair to employees to dilute the HR function?

Objectives of the study

The aim of this research proposal is to discuss the importance of Human Resource manager and compare it with other managers in order to suggest that it cannot be replaced and the duties of HR manager can only be performed by himself in an effective manner.

Literature Review

Organizational Psychology suggests that dealing with market realities is not the only important thing required in successful running of an organization but it is actually the effective management of human capital which is supposedly the most important resources. And for that reason the role of Human resource manager cannot be take for granted and combined with any other designation. Though many organizations in the process of cutting down on their cost target the HR department in order to eliminate it and expect its other managers to take over the duties of human resource which proved to ineffective. Other manager cannot have the experience and expertise of HR manager and only he can perform the duties in an effective manner. There will be a comprehensive discussion and literature analysis with regards to the importance of HR Manager's role and different approaches of HRM and models of human resource theory, the research methodology that will be used along with possible limitations to research.

Importance of HR manager

Human resource management is an important unit of every organization bur recent emphasized on combining the HR responsibilities with strategic management of employees along with alignment of HR policies with that of Organization strategic policies has somewhat resulted in confusing role of HR managers.
