Introduction

The aim of this coursework is to describe and analyse Human Resource Management's discourses on self-actualisation enabling freedom through work in the 21st Century. The major strategic HR business partner role is in aligning HR and business strategy. When human resource goes beyond its traditional role of administration, it may have an important impact on a value creation of an organisation. To appropriately align HR with a strategy of an organisation, HR manager first requires be planning and controlling; thus, it may contribute a role in the organisation's strategic planning. It is the human resource that influence and control all other areas of an organisation. Hence, the department of HR requires making sure the human resource is effectively aligned with the strategy that is selected by the organisation. To make the most of on this leverage, companies require adopting a new HR perspective.

The four key strategic role of HR business partner are strategic partners, change agent, administrative partner and employee champions. Strategic Partner refers to the alignment of human resource initiatives and activities with the corporate/business strategy which is the most important task of HR business partner and HR management. At times, it seems easy to put into practice strategic partnership while it is not as it requires a great deal of efforts from HR. The Human Resource Management within companies is specifically responsible for all matters relating to recruitment, selection, hiring, training, compensation and employee motivation, so that it is productive and profitable for the company (Sheehan, 2005).

Currently employees have different expectations about the work in organizations. Some employees want to work in the direction of their jobs, and want to participate in the financial gains earned by their organization. Others have so few skills that employers must redesign jobs and offer extensive training before hiring. The objective in the area of human resources is to foster the development of integral officials, through the implementation of activities in the areas of training, welfare, occupational health, payroll, registration and monitoring that contribute to the professional and personal growth of officials, as well as to strengthen their sense of belonging and commitment to the institution (Albrecht, 2000).

Importance of Human Resource Management In the Organization

Human resources are a combination of knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, contacts and wisdom of the people working in the organization. The role of human resource managers as agents of change is vital to understand the objectives and benefits of the process and to properly size any conflicts, transforming power resistors for change, especially if it involves introducing deep cultural changes.
