Abstract

In this study we try to explore the concept of illegal immigrants in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on illegal immigrants in United States and its relation with Christianity beliefs. The research also analyzes many aspects of implication of Christianity beliefs and tries to gauge its effect on illegal immigrants. Finally the research describes various factors which are responsible for declaring the process of immigration as illegal and tries to describe the overall effect of immigration and Christianity beliefs.

Illegal Immigration in USA from the perspective of Christianity

Introduction

With nearly a million foreign-born individuals entering the U.S. legally each year, and a similar number entering illegally, the nation is currently experiencing a level of immigration similar to the early 1900s; yet, unlike the first part of the 20th century, when the majority of immigrants or foreign-born persons of non-citizen parentage who migrate to the U.S. originated from Europe, today's immigrants typically come from Latin America and Asia. Consequently, the nation's ethno racial landscape is quickly becoming more diverse than ever before, a situation which prompts public and scholarly questions regarding the likelihood of positive intergroup relations and interracial conflict. The aim and objective of this paper is to talks about the phenomenon of illegal immigrants from the perspective of Christianity beliefs. The following part of the paper discusses variegated orders, rules and regulations of the Christianity on the basis of which immigration can be regarded as illegal.

Thesis Statement

The aim of this research is to prove that Bible and Christianity teachings can provide significant and rational grounds on the basis of which a country can regard immigrants as illegal.

Illegal Immigrants

As illegal immigration remains a serious problem in the America, other countries around the world are also being affected by it. You may enter a country illegally or entered legally initially and then violate the conditions for their stay. Examples include individuals who stayed longer than allowed in their visas or violated the conditions of permanent residence permit or refugee. There are some terms used to refer to these individuals. The terminology includes illegal, undocumented immigrants, illegal aliens, unauthorized immigrants, illegal immigrants, illegal aliens, immigrants or undocumented workers (Weissbrodt & Danielson, 2005). Some terms are perceived with a negative connotation as "criminal" or "invaders." Regardless of the country of origin of immigrants, which have in common is seeking a better life. Some leave because of the policies and / or economic situation in their country (Hunter, 45).
