Immediate Loading of Implants

Introduction and principles

Immediate loading of implants is a new technique which is used for the patients to have their teeth removed and implants placed professionally along with prosthesis. Implanting technique requires a great experience and knowledge of the dental surgical instruments. At the present this technique is used for fixed mandibles and single tooth replacement. Impressions are considered to be a transfer medium which helps in transferring the three dimensional spatial relationship to the laboratory in order to conduct prosthesis. This technique also helps in provide the position of implant and relates its relationship with other structures, which include teeth, bone, soft tissue and others. A non-indexed system, which allows removal, of the impression copings from differently angled implants is likely to give the most accurate castings from an implant-head impression [4]. The head of the implant should be accurately recorded by the impression in order to allow it to duplicate precisely. The material used should be high quality material such as silicon and polyether.

Different Methods for transfer of implants

There are various methods of taking impressions. If impressions are taken at first stage of the surgry then it is necessary for the technician to use appropriate abutments. Furthermore, construction of provisionalrestoration can also be used. If the technician uses abutments from shock and prepares them then he must use provisional restoration to abutments. Splinting is done by the attachment of acrylic pattern resin to the coping which links them.

The implant impressions element must be captured until the final restoration is done. The most crucial instruments used in this regard are connections of abutment to the implant. It must be kept in mind that the tissue should be properly represented. Attention is required while doing this procedure and time is required in order to maintain efficiency. The accuracy of the casts generated with this technique can be affected mainly by three variables i.e., tray type, impression material viscosity and sequence of pouring the cast[2].

Component parts

The Implant system component parts include:

An element endo bone.

A protecting cover screw element and internal bone during burial.

A healing abutment or sleeve, which is positioned during the healing of mucous membranes. This consists of one part by Brånemark, Core Vent and Denar and 2 parts by IMZ implants.

A stump, pillar, or Trans gingival mucosal epithelial trans also called ring or middle piece. Consisting of one part by Core Vent implants, Denar and IMZ in respect to a prosthesis

A cylinder in gold and gold screw in the Brånemark system that allows a rigorous fit of the prosthesis to the stump Trans gingival also present in Core Vent.

Two prosthetic parts and auxiliary materials complement the list associated with each system.

Transition restoration

We describe a technique that uses 3 transitional implants to precisely position the surgical template and then help connect the provisional restoration for immediate loading of implants. The final positioning of the surgical guide is critical to the success of implant dentistry focused on the ...
