A strong research is something that follows the research process. A strong research is a well organized research. A strong research begins with choosing the research topic. Any research begins with choosing a topic. The topic should be of interest to the researcher. It should be something that the researcher may be able to find information on. Moreover, it should be a topic to which the researcher will be able to add something to the existing research. The topic must be new and something that results in a strong research. The next step in the research process is to synthesize research information. Any research begins with collecting information on the decided topic. There is a sea of information available on the internet on almost every topic. The point here is to filter that information. Hence, it is important to discard the data that is not relevant and keep the data which is. This also helps the researcher in making an outline for the research topic through a concept map or a venn diagram. For instance, the conceptual map for the chosen topic can include reasons for immigration such as low pay in the home country, incentives, illegal immigration, legal immigration etc.

After synthesizing information comes the step of data collection. This means developing a tentative thesis statement for the chosen topic. For instance, if my topic is immigration it is a very vast topic. There are many angels to it. A tentative thesis statement for my topic would be “Greek immigrants from the US and their struggle to settle in the new country”.
