Induction on the Localization of Immune Cells

Cells dendritic cells act as a liaison between innate and adaptive immune systems, as present antigens to T cells, one of the key cell types of the immune system adaptive. Mast cells reside in connective tissues and mucous membranes, and regulate the inflammatory response. They are often associated with allergy and anaphylaxis. Basophils and eosinophils are associated with neutrophils. Secretan chemical mediators are involved in defense against parasites and play a role in allergic reactions such as asthma killer cells. Leukocytes (white blood cells) act as single-celled organisms are independent and the second arm of the innate immune system. The innate leukocytes include phagocytes (macrophages, neutrophils and dendritic cells), mast cells, eosinophils basophils and natural killer cells. These cells identify and eliminate pathogens, either is the greatest attacking through contact or encompassing other so kill them. Innate cells are important mediators in the activation of adaptive immune system.

Endothelial cells secrete factors chemoattractants (chemokines) that bind to receptors on the surface of leukocytes and activate integrins, resulting in firm adhesion between leukocytes and endothelial cells

Because integrins bind to adhesion molecules of the immunoglobulin family expressed on the endothelium (3.4), leukocytes migrate through endothelial cells by interacting with the adhesion molecule PECAM-1

The leukocytes migrate along a chemokine gradient, which is generated by release of these endothelial cells and macrophages as a result of injury produced in the tissue.
