Implant Assignment

Introduction

The main purpose of this paper is to identify the implantation of a patient. The paper is about a patient who has been prescribed with an implant-retained upper anterior porcelain-bonded bridge for the purpose of replacing 3 | 3. It has been proposed that the location of implants is in the regions of canines. At the time of placement it has been identified that the location of an angle of the implant fixture is not favorable in terms of the technicality. The paper is about an overview of the technical problems while constructing the bridge on an implant abutment located between the two units of bridge and has a labially inclined emergence profile. The paper also discusses the three potential abutment systems which can be used for the purpose of correcting the emergence angle of the implant abutment for the purpose of facilitating the construction of a functional and aesthetic porcelain-bonded bridge.

Discussion

There is a great influence of the implantology on the modern dentistry. The implantology is helpful in providing support to the dentistry, technician, clinician and mainly it is beneficial for the patients. Implants are very useful these days in assisting the patients with an alternative so that they can easily remover their dentures. However, it can be said that the very frequent use of the dentures can result in ill-fitting and can be categorized as non-functional. For the purpose of meeting these dentures, patients bring changes in their eating habits which results in decreasing the standard of living and the quality of life (Brånemark, 2001, p. 12). However, there are also some extreme cases in which the results of the dentures can be in the form of malnutrition and reduced life span. Since the last few years, the technicians are making struggles to bring development in Implantology, but still many problems exist in this.

Technical Problems

The field of implantation is continuously developing with the passing time. The scientists and the experts are struggling hard to bring developments in the field of implantation. Instead of all the efforts and struggles made by the scientists in the field of implantation, there are still differences in the field of implantation. During implantation, there are different technical problems while constructing the bridge on an implant abutment located between the two units of bridge and has a labially inclined emergence profile. One of the problems is in the form of poor maxilla and mandibular bone shapes and structures. The poor maxilla and the mandibular bone shapes and structures are considered to be the main problem and barrier which create problems for the patient in the functional and aesthetic restorations (Worthington, 1992, p. 14). There are many cases in which there is no option available to the surgeon but the placement of implants at angles which cannot be considered as conducive to function or aesthetics. There are different techniques which can be used for the purpose of solving these problems including the ...
