Re: Implementing a new organizational solution

This paper presents a memo to John Regts the General Manager of a company, suggesting him to apply direct method to overcome the persisting problem of data organization and storage system. As mentioned in the case, the employees are forced to maintain and organize their data in manual files due to some major faults in the system. It can thus be said that the existing system does not provide the adequate support to the data. The scenario presented above is not new. Many organizations face similar problems due to one reason or other. In this paper, it is intended to present suggestions for addressing this common problem regarding data storage.

The notion of storage is a need for registration of a computer data on a carrier, often material, and that for future reuse. This is safekeeping the data, while making them available to provide re-use via a data processing system. If different storage techniques exist, they all meet the criteria of frequency of use, storage volume required and criticality of information, and this against the cost and safety methods. Tapes, cassettes / cartridges, hard drives, many carriers subject to the constraint of a mass of increasingly large data store. But the storage media themselves are degraded and only the data redundancy ensures the durability required for businesses to store their data . This technique is used in storage systems RAID (Redundant Arrays of Inexpensive Disks), now increasingly used in the professional world. There are many different types of data storage choice. The amount of data you need to save is a primary factor in the choice of means of data storage that fits your needs. You may very well choose more than one method of storing data according to the size of the data to be stored. The Flash Drive is a type of relatively new data storage.

There are certain problems and limitations in the use of magnetic storage media, and today there are a variety of data storage media using other techniques that are based on the diffraction of light waves. There are many variations of this system, making it possible to store a large amount of digital data in a very small and inexpensive format. It has been very cumbersome that even in this age of globalization, when other competitors are using latest storage devices; our company has failed to matchup with the innovations within the data storage systems. It is high time that we, as an organization should make appropriate strategies to address this problem that is continuously making us suffer the consequences. As a result of poor data storage systems, we have also lost the trust of our valued customers and the employees have failed to give their best productive output .

One issue is that our employees are not properly trained for using Microsoft applications. This has further hampered their productivity and there is an urgent need to organize training ...
