Nursing for a Healthier Tomorrow

“Nurses for a Healthier Tomorrow” is the partnership of 42 healthcare and nursing organizations working together in order to develop a campaign for communicating and attracting individuals towards the profession of nursing. The main objective of campaign is to highlight the shortage of nurses from the viewpoint of faculty staff. The school of nursing is not able to give admissions to large number of students due to the small number of nursing staff at the nursing schools. The very first campaign of the Nurses for Healthier Tomorrow (NHT) is called the “Nursing. It's Real. It's Life”. The main focus of the campaign was on the people to join nursing as their profession. The campaign that was carried out in the year 2004 as “Nursing education.. pass it on” was based on the number of advertisements aimed at attracting nurses towards the teaching staff (Cohen, 2007).

The Institute of Medicine's Quality Series reports

The Institute of Medicine (IOM) started publishing number of reports taking into account safety and quality issues of care and healthcare system of the United States. The Institute of Medicine (IOM) has been publishing reports on nursing and the quality of the healthcare system. These reports have been focused on the working environment of the nurses and the nursing professional. These reports also emphasized the role of nurses in the nursing environment and their responsibility of spending more time with the patients than any other healthcare professional in the healthcare industry. The other reports that are presented by the Institute of Medicine (IOM) do not include a particular group of healthcare professionals.
