Introduction

The film is about three sisters, namely Mirabal sisters who were known for their resistance to a dictator of the Dominican Republic Rafael Trujillo who rules from 1930 to 1961. This film tells the true story of the Mirabal sisters, considered real heroines in the Dominican Republic since supported a revolutionary attempt to overthrow the cruel dictator Trujillo. The movie starts with the display of pictures of the victims who were killed by Trujillo and his ways which were the foundation of his dictatorship. On November 25, 1960, the bodies of the three Mirabal sisters were found at the bottom of a cliff on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic. Outlined as a fatal accident by the official press, the fourth of the sisters, known as the Butterfly, was responsible for maintaining the family legacy, their fierce offensive against the Trujillo regime. His struggle began when Minerva indecent proposals rejected dictator, leading to the murder of his father. Patria, another butterfly, organized opposition.
