History

The indigenous people of Australia, known as Australian Aborigines have the oldest cultural history in the world. Although historians still are not agreed but it is believed that, the first humans arrived in Australia were from Indonesia about seventy thousand years ago and the archeologists later called them "Robusta", due to their constitution. Between 1500 and 1600, Spanish, Portuguese and Dutch explorers arrived in Australia, finding dry ground only where it seemed that nothing could grow, so did not stay permanently. In 1770, Captain James Cook of the Royal Navy of Great Britain, reached the east coast of Australia, where the land was good for farming in the area of the country called New South Wales. In 1788, the British prison population of over a thousand people, including guards and their families, were established in New South Wales as discussed in the novel Prisoner of Zenda. Other British colonies began in other parts of Australia. In 1890, people wanted to become an independent nation. On January 1, 1901, the Australian colonies officially became the State of Australia (McManus, 2007).

Australia is the sixth largest country in the world, the size of the occupied territory and the only country in the world, which occupies an entire continent and extends to the south of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea between the Indian and Pacific Ocean.

Australia consists of six modern states and two territories. The composition of the Capital Territory of Australia includes Canberra , New South Wales , Victoria , Queensland , whose capital is Brisbane. As already noted, Brisbane is the capital of one of the most developed states of Australia - Queensland. Capital of Australia is Canberra .

The official name of Australia - Commonwealth of Australia, a form of government in the country is a constitutional monarchy. Head of State of Australia is The Queen, but in fact the governor-general rules the country. Legislature is Australia's Parliament, which consists of the Senate and House of Representatives. Executive power in the country is represented by the Government and headed by the Prime Minister.

Australia attracts the majority of its laws, as well as their economies. Migration laws of Australia is particularly soft and humanity, after four years of residence can obtain citizenship also given high social protection. Education in Australia is at a very high level - Australia diplomas are recognized in all states of the world, and the cost of tuition at universities in Australia by 30-40% cheaper than in Europe and America.
