The word "gas cleaning" makes to reference to the process through which we separate the dusts from the gas, in small amounts, from the streams of gas. There are three main reasons for installing equipment for cleaning gas, and these are to enable the recovery of valuable products; the protection of the downstream equipment or conditions of the process; and the prevention of sewage releases in the atmosphere.

The selection of equipment for cleaning gas requires us to match the characteristics of performance of the different devices that are available in the market, and the requirements of the pant minimum level of efficiency.

To select a guide for this method, we have to follow some logical steps for the selection of the gas cleaning equipment. In the below steps, I have discussed the required procedure for cleaning gas.

Step 1: Analyze the Problem

The initial step in to determine the technological, environmental, and other conditions, which the plant has to fulfill.  In the accumulation of the set of information, this is usually referred to as “problem statement"
