Abstract

In this study we try to explore the concept of “Inequality of Women in workplace” in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on “Inequality of Women in workplace”, which does not exist and its relation with “freedom of women in the society”. The research also analyzes many aspects of “Inequality of Women in workplace” and tries to gauge its effect on “freedom of women to avoid the Inequality”. Finally the research describes various factors which are responsible for “Inequality of Women in workplace” and tries to describe the overall effect of “Inequality of Women in workplace” on “freedom of women to obsolete the Inequality”.

Literature Review

Any distinction, exclusion or prohibition based on gender differences, which have resulted in, or to limit or revoke the recognition, observance and implementation of human rights and fundamental freedoms of women in political, economic, social, cultural, civil or any other field, regardless of marital status, on the basis of equality of men and women.

Conclusion

In conclusion I t is said that women is free from inequality inhibitions, and immersed them in a new pool of male influence. This revolution has created contradictory images to the ones envisioned by feminists who fought for equality and freedom from the control of men.

Problem Statement

This intends to look into the effects and causes of Inequality of women in the workplace. By seeing into the knowledge of inequality that does not exist now, this proposal will stab to respond the purpose of this research.

Literature Review

Discrimination of women means the restriction or denial of women's rights on grounds of sex in all spheres of society: the socio-economic, political, spiritual, family and household. Article 1 of UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women defines discrimination as follows: "Any distinction, exclusion or prohibition based on gender differences, which have resulted in, or to limit or revoke the recognition, observance and implementation of human rights and fundamental freedoms of women in political, economic, social, cultural, civil or any other field, regardless of marital status, on the basis of equality of men and women.” In this study, the object of our attention is the discrimination against women in employment related to violations of labor and socio-economic rights. Russian researcher highlights two key forms of discrimination against women in employment and occupation: Discrimination on wages for equal work when men and women receive unequal pay; Occupational segregation, where women have over men, the unequal access to prestigious occupations and positions (involving a higher level of pay). (Gerson, 2004)
