Introduction

There have been huge debates on the military intervention which has pulled the scholar attention at large. The interest of this study is regarding the Multi-National Military Intervention in Somalia. As we know that Somalia is country located in the so called Horn of Africa, east of mainland Africa where children deaths are increasing from violence rising which is at peak in Somalia. The lives of the children in Somalia are being located more and more in serious danger with the increasing conflict. In this research we will discuss the rise of Sexual Violence in Somaliland Camps and what intervention Multi-National Military can organize and conduct in this circumstances.

Discussion

In the paper I have taken a live scenario of Hargeisa IDP camps in Somaliland where Sexual violence is on rise. In this camp, the sexual and gender based violence i.e. known as SGBV along with the domestic violence has been enhanced for the people who are internally displaced persons (IDPs). This is the capital of self-declared independent Republic of Somaliland where social workers attribute to the trend of hard economic period latest deficiency in the region (ww.unhcr.org/).

Sexual and Gender based Violence (SGBV)

Sexual and gender is a violation of human rights. This type of violence perpetuates the stereotype of gender roles that denies the human dignity of individuals and development human blocks. Unfortunately most victims and survivors of sexual and gender violence are women and girls.

Sexual and gender includes much more than sexual assault and rape, which is happening in the Hargeisa IDP camps. Although it can occur in public settings is widely rooted in individual attitudes that justify violence within the family, community and state. The causes and consequences of sexual and gender violence must be understood before planning to appropriate programs for prevention and response to such violence.

Sexual exploitation in Hargeisa IDP camps is a feature of the war. In the situations of armed conflict, girls and women are often targets of gender-based violence including rape, mutilation, prostitution, forced pregnancy and sexual slavery. The rape has been used systematically as a weapon of war and as a means to terrorize populations and destroy community bonds. Adolescent girls are particularly at risk of being raped, kidnapped, or victims of human trafficking and prostitution. Sexual aggression: This is any sexual offense involving violence, coercion, threat or surprise. This is imposed on touching the sexual parts or sexual connotations (the buttocks, sex, breasts, mouth, thighs) are sexual assaults.

The sexual exhibition: This is imposed at the sight of others in a place accessible to public view. Note that the concern is considered a public place; the sexual exhibitionism is therefore criminally punishable.
