Introduction

The job interview is the final stage in any process of seeking employment or change of job . All the previous steps as taking information , preparation, delivery of the letter and tracking curriculum , have been directed to get a job interview with the company . It's time for personal contact, where an individual basis and direct the respondent has the opportunity to convince the interviewer that he is the best person for the job. "We played a lot in a short time."

A job interview is a key activity in the staff selection process. Selected, of course, the best and the best for successful companies are those that know more than they know to be and do. In smaller companies, the interviewers usually are not specialists in the recruitment, looking for people only, who can do, so that may influence the personal chemistry between the interviewer and the interviewee, you can even impress doing something we know to do well, whereas in large firms or the consulting staff, the interviewer is usually a human resources expert, where, just get the job if the right candidate we are looking for the company. In any case, we should convey warmth, honesty, affinity, and our personal worth. The defining characteristics of the selection interview are that: a) is made from a job analysis, b) is uniform for all candidates, c) the interviewers have a high degree of specific training and d) the hiring decision is made after all interviews have developed(McDaniel et.al, 1994).

Depending on the persons involved

One interviewer, one interviewee is the most common, usually occurs in the office of the interviewer. Typically takes an hour or so. Two or more interviewers, one respondent: This mode is usually done when interviewers are personnel of the company. In these cases one of the interviewers usually conduct the weight of the interview and ask the others occasionally.

Subsequent interviews, usually held in the company. Candidates are referred to several interviews every half hour or so, with what may be a morning and out in different offices of many other people, each of which will prosecute the candidate from different points of view(Huffcutt et.al, 2001) .

Depending on the technique of questioning

The main types of interview, from this point of view are:

Standardized interview: a kind of oral questionnaire. The interviewer read the questions and write down the answers you get. Commonly used in the selection process passive search when there are many candidates.

Free interview: it's like an informal chat, which allows the collection of subjective data about the applicant.

Mixed Interview: does not use a fixed questionnaire nor preset poses some questions, but follows a sort of interview guide those listed, not the questions but the areas that have to be explored.

Depending on the climate of the interview

Normal or relaxed Interview: want to get a climate, serene, calm and confidence.
