Introduction

Why you feel unmotivated? You are sitting on a cozy chair and staring on the list of work which nonetheless inspires you at all, as it seems you bored and dumb. But you are simply starting it to get the endless amount for it. Yet you do not always fall in the same state of mind, sometimes it tempts you to start as you love that work or any big project is implementing that will benefit you a lot in the medium of exchange. So how can you assure yourself that you are motivated in the given task? Psychologists have distinguished between two structures of motivation, intrinsic and extrinsic. Though both types have the motivational factor but sources are different.

The core purpose of this research paper is to advance a different perspective on the connection between Intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. In the current context, motivation presents the process that energizes and arouses the individual to achieve a desired goal and elicits to control, sustain and manage definite goals by directed behaviours. According to different theories, motivation can be entrenched a basic need to decrease physical twinge and increase pleasure by rewards. In the initial stages of industrial revolution, employees were measured as exclusively one of the inputs of the production system. The study of Hawthorne, conducted by Elton Mayo from 1924 to 1932 apparent the perception of employees works at greater entwines. The experiment first designed on the plant by the effect of light to observe the productivity. Although the experiments did not show clear bonding amid illumination and productivity but yet it has screened some great changes which were influencing the output. These experiments summed up that employee are not totally motivated by money and that their attitude is linked with employer behavior. Thus Hawthorne studies began the man relation approach to the management, therefore, the need and motivation of employees or individual came in consideration by the management team of the organization.

Intrinsic Motivations

It is the type of motivation which comes from within you and gives you actual pleasure by doing it without any greed of external reward. Intrinsic motivation is that something you will to do, having the task itself to earn the own reward in the shape of self satisfaction or self learning. It certainly includes all those activities which we do without any notion of gain. One can make it easier to understand that you have been assigned the jumble of work which you love. It might be bit critical or time consuming, but once you start you will find yourself enjoying. This motivation intrinsically moves a person to act for the challenge or fun rather than because of any external rewards or pressures. The phenomena came into the influence by the experimental studies of animal behavior, where it was found that many animal organisms engage themselves in the playful, probing and curiosity behaviors even in the non presence of reward.
