Introduction

In the era of 21st century, the advancements of technology has improved and drastically changed the structures of the organizations. Every business that is working in the industry has its own styles of operating and managing effectively. The successful running of the business depends on the nature of goods or services it produces. Therefore, they have their own organizational design and structure, teams and team working, approach to leadership and management and the organizational culture. The academic report will cover the aspects in details that elaborate the styles of operations by Biogenta Plc and Outback Inc. The two different methods that they use are completely different from each other. Biogenta Plc is running with the authority that are centrally managed whereas Outback Inc believe to employ the best human resource to increase their decreasing and falling sale and loss of the clients.

Management and Leadership

Management and leadership development (MLD) is central to an organization's human resource management (HRM) and a litmus test of the value it places upon its staff. The strategic training and development of managers and leaders is widely regarded as one of four progressive HR policies (Becker and Huselid, 1998). Much of the writing in the arena of MLD is based on a series of causal links which underlie this thinking. The first is that an organization's business and HR strategy will, or at least should, shape the design, style and priority afforded to training and development activities. The second is that these activities, providing they are well delivered and contextualized, will enhance the skills and competencies of managers. The third proposed link is that these skills and competencies, newly acquired by these individuals, will translate into collective capability, which in turn, will lead to that organization performing in a superior way to its competitors. This chain of events, however, is usually more assumed than articulated, more hoped-for than empirically demonstrated.

Management interventions can be viewed as planned changes in the work setting designed to change the behavior of organizational members and lead to desirable organizational outcomes (Porras & Silvers, 1991). Virtually any systematic approach to improving performance effectiveness in organizations would qualify as a viable example of a management intervention.

The academic report will highlight the two case studies of different businesses that are operating in different industries. They have their own ways to operate and manage. One is Biogenta Plc and the other one is Outback Inc.
