Is it Ethically Permissible to Clone Human Beings?

Regarding the issues that surround cloning, it is rather more important to understand the purposes for which cloning should be allowed; reactions on society and religion are of secondary importance. As Lee M. Silver a professor of molecular biology and public policy at Princeton University says that the only purpose that cloning serves, and I think people should be allowed to do it for this reason, is to let infertile people have children. So if such purposes can make life better for someone or the whole community then it's good to use cloning in the positive way. (Ronald, 1997)

Every culture and religion has its own ethical values and belief system. About 20-30 years ago the problem of abortion was considered immoral but now a day's people have accepted it as the right of a woman. So things and beliefs change according to time and new values replace them. The point to ponder over here is the fact that cloning can bring no ethical advantage in the society. It cannot change or alter the beliefs of people instead what it will do is generate better understanding of what science and religion is actually all about. The distracting ideas that roam around in the newspapers and in media are that cloning will enable humans to make their own destiny and control the power of death. Well God made this world for us to search for answers and the answers are being provided by the scientists in the field of genetics or cosmology.
