Japan Nuclear Leak

The Japanese government has admitted that there is a radioactive leak at nuclear reactor in Fukushima 1, which has been affected by the earthquake of 8.9 degrees and it has devastated northern Uganda. Moreover, according to nuclear security agency in Japan the pressure inside the reactor is 1.5 times the normal situation. For this reason, it has been recommended that to release radioactive steam into the atmosphere to reduce the pressure of the reactor and avoid greater evils.

According to information provided by the authorities Nipponese the UN nuclear agency, the earthquake and ensuing tsunami cut the flow of electricity in the plant and the emergency diesel engine and it is not working properly, due to damage of natural disaster.

According to authorities "It's possible that it could filter out radioactive material in nuclear lines, but the amount is small, and it should be kept in mind that the wind blows towards the sea and it increases the negative impact of this disaster.

Japanese authorities began to evacuate thousands of citizens in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (1), in the northeast. In addition, according to some news agencies the radiation level in the turbine of the plant in the area is growing. Currently, radiation in the control room of one of the reactors at the plant number 1 reached a thousand times its usual level. Radiation affects people differently depending upon their age at the time of exposure. As it was previously stated, younger children are much more susceptible to radiation than adults and would, therefore, feel the effects much more strongly than most adults. Free-in-air simply means that there was no tissue around for the KERMA to be absorbed into, so it is released into the air we breathe. KERMA is meant to be present in nature to a certain extent. When the amount of KERMA fluctuates, all of the environment must learn to readapt to the new levels. This change does not occur easily and is often the cause of many radiation induced cancers. (Clarfield 2005) The current situation in Japan has brought a state of emergency in other countries as well.

Many European countries try to make plan to minimize the nuclear side effect. After japan experience it was decided to test the safety of nuclear power plant, located in the EU, as well as in neighboring countries to see whether they are able to resist in case of earthquakes, floods, tsunamis, and terrorist attacks
