Introduction

Jonathan Swift was born November 30, 1667 in Ireland's capital Dublin. He is a satirical Irish writer, origin of English known for his satires and lampoons comedy or rather ironic, even sarcastic.

In this essay we will be focusing on the most famous novel, 'Gulliver's Travel' written by Jonathan Swift, in the context of his satirical writing as affected by his political life. The research question for this assignment is “How is his satire writing in Gulliver's Travels affected by his political life”.

Description

Swift began his creative activity at the turn of the century, when very diverse experience of English literature of XVII century. Swift was a contemporary of itself partly belonged to the great social movement, referred to as the Enlightenment. (Davis, 56)
