Introduction

The term Juvenile Delinquency usually means a violation of events (boys) of the Act, including those acts, which are crimes, if committed by adults. These include activities such as car theft and burglary, and those acts which are illegal only for boys and for girls these include the purchase of alcoholic beverages. Most people use the term juvenile delinquency to include anything done by boys, contrary to community standards, regardless of being legal or illegal.

Different age levels are considered by different places to determine the crime but in most of the countries, it is less than 17 years. However, in other countries, the cases are referred to the ordinary criminal courts.

Juvenile delinquency is a serious social problem in many of the countries. It has caused growing public concern, but it's not really a new problem that the fact that young people in the street gangs in American cities are increasing in the nineteenth century. The juvenile delinquency rate rose in the early twentieth century. The delinquency exists in all nations, but it is widespread in particular industrialized countries where there are large cities (Dukes, Stein, 1997).

What is a delinquent juvenile?

Juvenile offender is a legal term which has been developed, so that the young law-breakers avoid shame to be classified as criminals in the legal records. Juvenile delinquency laws are prepared to provide treatment for juvenile offenders rather than punishment. The events usually are sent to the juvenile court, where they are considered the main objective of rehabilitation, not punishment. But the term juvenile delinquency has come to mean the same as shame. However, the act under which the boy regarded as juvenile offenders in a community may not be a departure from the law in another community. In some communities, the police ignore many children, who are charged with misdemeanors and are small, and return them directly to their parents. But in other societies, such as the police may refer them to juvenile court.

The statistics of crime shows that in the West, the people are always incomplete and possibly deceptive indicator of the size of juvenile crime. In fact, there are a large percentage of arrests and convictions for crimes of theft among young people. This does not necessarily give an indication of the proportion of robberies committed by the young, as the vast majority of crimes of theft is not to arrive at solutions which do not know who did it.

The indicators shown in the statistics present that there is an increasing number of girls and young women in recent years who have become involved in the commission of the crime in the West. Statistics also showed that juveniles who commit crimes do so in the form of groups, each consisting of two or three, while professional criminals are doing it individually.
