Korean War is often called a "forgotten war" because not numerous persons recall it. In fact, numerous persons were enjoying the end of World conflict II when the Korean conflict started. Because of that cause, persons did not desire to think about foreign activities but only domestic affairs. The war conveyed many household changes that still stay with us. The confrontation is not forgotten.

During the 1950's, the Americans were troubled to forget the conflict and enjoy the long financial boom [1]. "The financial boost of the 1950s and 1960s was sparked by pent-up demand but echoed another long-term inclination as well--mass production. Motivated by stunning demonstrations like Henry Ford's form T, American industry taken up the schemes and methods of mass output to satisfy the growing mass demand" [1]. The despondency was finally going away from the people's minds and not numerous people liked to get engaged with another war. Even though it is said that numerous people did not understand much about the Korean conflict, perhaps the people just liked to avoid another war.

The war provided the joined States its first infantry defeat. "For one, it was America's first flavour of infantry defeat, and its first know-how of restricted warfare, where outright victory was regarded too exorbitant an target" [2]. The joined States weren't prepared to fight the war when the Korean conflict first started. Following World War II, the allowance for infantry had been decreasing. But the Korean conflict turned around the chopping of the budget. After trying to start an economic rise, the United States ran into a hurdle, and had to split up more part of the allowance for infantry purposes. The conflict made the United States to spend more in the infantry and get ready for a conflict any time.

Many juvenile men fought in the Korean War. Korean conflict wasn't considered as a conflict and many people did not even understand where Korea was. "When I came back, I had to have a job. Ilooked and considered, what have I got to lose? And I can be a champion over there dragging hand grenades out with my teeth, was my expression. Ijoined basically for the excursion, not patriotism. Ididn't even understand where Korea was. Ididn't care where Korea was" [4]. Don Hibbs, who was an amateur hockey contestant, went to the conflict not even knowing where Korea was. People did not take the conflict gravely as they did throughout the two World Wars. "Because Korea was not glimpsed as a conflict, they were not mechanically in many Veterans activities' agents' eyes veterans, so they didn't get the benefits.
