Results

The sample size was 104 where 44 were male and remaining were 60, according to the first two questions. Third question was that do people value an education. There were 17 people who strongly disagreed, however 12 agreed to it.

Fourth question was about their High School G.P.A. and 62 respondents stated that it was between 3.0 and 4.0 (B to A), where as only 1 stated that it was less than 1.0 (D and below).

Fifth question was about their race / ethnicity. There were 28 who stated that they were Dominican and Puerto Rican-American, however only two were African American.

The sixth question was related to the highest academic degree they have earned. The 42 respondents had Bachelor of Arts or Science, and there were only two who had M.D. (Medicine).

Seventh question was about when they were in High School, then what they were enrolled in. the respondents stated that 53 were enrolled in Honors classes, as compared to only 3 who were enrolled in Work Co-op program. Eighth question was that were they involved in any activity during their High School. The respondents stated that 73 were working, 53 played sports.

Ninth question was that in High School, did they work outside of school. The respondents stated that there were 16 who worked part-time, however 4 Worked full-time.

Tenth question was that what hardships they faced while in high school. The respondents stated that 42 think that they had financial issues. However 4 thought that Working full time created issue, and even the suspensions from the school.

Question eleven was about who of the family members were first to be born in the United States. The answer was that 68 thought they themselves or their siblings. However 5 thought their grandparents.

Question 12 was about their parents gave them advice about education. The 72 respondents stated that yes they did, however 32 denied.

Question thirteen was about their mother's highest completed level of education. Only one of them had Ph.D. or Ed.D., as compared to 39 respondents whose mother had attended till High School (9-12).

Question fourteen was about their father's highest completed level of education. The 31 respondents stated that they attended till High School (9-12). However, two stated that they are Ph.D. or Ed.D. or Professional (M.D. or J.D.).

Question fifteen was about in college did they work. The 76 respondents stated that they Worked Part-time, where as 4 worked with families.

Question sixteen was about while in College, were they continuously enrolled in school since they began. The 81 respondents stated that they did, however 23 stated they did not.

Question seventeen was about did they have any siblings. The 93 respondents stated that they had, however 8 did not.

Question eighteen was about any of their siblings attended college. The 70 respondents stated that they did , however 31 did not.
